Crypt wendtii (red or brown is probably your best bet for true low light)
proserpinaca palustris (more of a copper color)
Echinodorus (red melon, kliener prinz) may turn green in improper conditions.
Cabomba Furcata (again, more of a copper-purple color. moderate light and low ph required)
Thanks, i will look into the crypt, since as of now all i will have is natural light that will only shine fore ~4-5 hrs a day at mst, unless i move my tank from the east side of the house to the west everyday, easy wil be best for me.

Yeah, sure kitten can join.
Also i cant put a size limit, that would be unfair to those who like or already have big tanks.
redchigh why do you want an Amano feel? He aint any god, he's just good...

I think it's a beautiful aquarium. The person who created it must have a lot of patience, time, money, and an eye for great looks!

are you referring to the first post? It takes talent too i think to envision such an aquascape and then to make it a reality.

I think i know what i want for my project for this contest, but its really hard to get a concrete design scheme in place. I'm not a very artsy person so the final plant arrangement is gonna be tough for me :-/

haha at least yours sounds somewhat easier! My tank is in my closet and the rim is too high to comfortably work with. I just completely tore the thing down and have been washing buckets of dirt this evening... I don't think I have ever put so much time into laying a substrate.

@Mikaila, yea itll be way easier to set up than the rest of yours, but its gonna be harder to properly maintain without light. I am also sanding it down and repolishing it since its extremely scratched but it doesnt seem like I will be able to get rid of the cloudyness, looks like most of the clarity has been destroyed by the age of the tank.
