Planted 75 update ( picture heavy)
I have been asked a couple questions about my tank, I hope this will fill in the blants...Substrate, regular gravel mixed with API First Layer Pure Laterite, 1oz per gallon, Plant food, API Leaf Zone, half a doze every 2 weeks, an, half a plant tab on the heavy feeders once a month. I do have CO2, it's a Do It Yourself setup, one bottle every 2 weeks, an I have to admit, some times I don't even put it back on the tank for weeks..Lighting is heavy, 4 - 65 watt 6700k compact fluorescent bulbs, 12 - 14 hours a day, replace bulbs every 6 months. filtering is handled by 2 Magnum 350, NO charcoal, filter canisters have SEACHEM MATRIX in them. And filters are changed every 30 days, Matrix is rinsed an reused, have been useing the same Matrix for a long time (GREAT STUFF). Temp is between 78-83 degrees, PH hangs about 7.0, amonia 0.0, with a 35% water change every week. An I keep a diary, that goes back 3 years on this tank. I hope this helps, an will answer any more of your questions if I can..First pixs are from May 02 11, an the rest are from tonite.
We have some very talented aquascapers on this forum. And here's another. I like the substrate, that is very natural. Well done.

Something we all need to remember: The fish you've acquired was quite happy not being owned by you, minding its own business. If you’re going to take it under your wing then you’re responsible for it. Every aspect of its life is under your control, from water quality and temperature to swimming space. [Nathan Hill in PFK]
