Planted 2.5 gallon...

Hi guys I use to have one of my bettas in this tank but I moved him to the 10 gallon and this one has just been a home for snails. LOL I did not like the way it looked so today I trimmed some of my plants in one of my other tanks and redid this tank. What do you guys think? I am thinking about getting another betta probably a female to put in there do you guys think it will be fine or do you think there are to many plants for her to swim around. I do not like the light and plan on replaceing it asap with a different light like this one but I am afraid it would be to much light for such a small tank does anyone have any experiance with this light?
