the G11 has a nice big lens, allows a lot of light to get in thus taking very nice shots in low-light conditions
also, i have my tank sitting on a cabinet with a bit of a ledge so i can rest my camera to steady the picture.
you'll need to put the camera right up against the glass and sit there for a while until your fish are no longer spooked. then snap away as the swim by.
tank lights on, other lights in your home off, no flash, steady the camera, clean glass and patience
i also use a lumix fx-01, the lumix is a cheaper alternative to the G11/12 and takes great shots!
i always test out a cameras macro and no-flash shooting before i buy
hope this helps
