Thx guys and gals. Yup Kate, they reach almost a foot in size. Its currently around 7" 1/4".
In poking around this forum I find that the same people look at and comment upon the same subjects over and over again. I myself am drawn to eels, peacock / striped eels to be exact. As I have two and am nerdy enough to want to gather as much personal and observational info as i can. Feel free to email me with your eel experiances.
