I got the sand in! The Corys haven't been playing any more than in the gravel, but at least I can find them easier! The black really looks amazing, I love it! I went out with my little guy this evening and brought home two more peppers, so our Cory's are now in a group of five! I also got a rubber lip pleco, and two dwarf gouramis.

I am also happy to report that since putting the sand in the tank, my ph has lowered to 7.8 (I believe, the color was definitely lower, but will double check it tomorrow). I'm so glad, because I was really worried about it sitting around 8.2 all the time.

I'm a big fan of black. I'm going to hop on the computer to find some pics of my old 45 with black sand and black background.

I love how that looks! I have a silly question that's been bugging me about backgrounds though... how do you affix them? First thought was tape but I don't want sticky gunk stuck to the outside of the tank if I take it off.
