You should totally do a setup for Splash Tetra (Copella arnoldi) That'd be AMAZING to see IRL! You could just do a jumping fish setup. . . with, like, a trench around the tank JIC anyone missed on the way back in!

Why me? xD
If I ever get a tank after the 90 gallon, I have my sights set on doing a 20 gallon long for fiddler crabs and gobies. But that will probably never happen. Considering how much I like to change my mind about things.

Because you're awesome enough to actually DO it! Moat and all. Plus a dragon (or a goby!) for the moat!!! ;) Anyway, a flying fish tank would totally ROCK!

Y'know what I want in brackish someday? I want mud skippers. . . I'm actually fairly determined to try to keep them. Now THAT is something right up YOUR alley, neh?

Oh, I was looking at mudskippers today too. I could have one/two in a 20 gallon with the fiddler crabs and gobies, actually. Just a matter of finding one. (Actually, just a matter of finding money for another fish tank).

Alright, update on 90 gallon light situation.
Even though Petsmart says "free shipping on orders over $49" that's only in America. Shipping the Aqueon T5's I wanted will cost $60 according to them. @_@ And all the stores we've asked can't get them in either, other local shops sell light fixtures for like $200.
So. . . We found some at home depot. 2 bulb 48" T5's that say they come with plant growing bulbs. I hope land plants and water plants need the same stuff. $100, so I guess that'll have to do, not gonna find anything better.

Yea, he cost me $10 at Petsmart. They didn't have them anymore, but my LFS has some tiny babies now.

I missed this, and BOOOO! That is SO not fair. . . you should be fine with the lights from Home Depot, though. As long as the K rating is right, full spectrum, all the fun stuff. I have random generic Home Depot lights on 2 of my tanks and the plants are thriving! Of course, mine isn't a 90g. . . but I bet you'll be okay, plus you save a lot of money going that route!

It should be okay. It holds T5's so those fancy plant bulbs will work too.

I renamed this thread. ALL BY MYSELF!
~wooo so cool~
