corporate fish stores expect most of their customers who buy fish to lose the fish quickly, which is why a lot of their fish have way smaller max sizes than they should. A huge part of their market only do water changes once every couple of months, and fail to clean their filter regularly. Its not all of the stores fault though since a lot of people who go in and buy a goldfish think that keeping fish is as easy as a bowl + water. Anyway, your tank looks beautiful best of luck to you.

My rainbow shark and Upside down catfish seem to taking a liking to each other.

I've been noticing the past few days that they both tend to hide in the little Easter island head together.

And when they come out they are always swimming around, nothing aggressive, just drifting and exploring other parts of the tank.

I think I might pickup another upside down catfish, I was just told they like to be kept in schools of 3+

I've been doing alot of searching on my local CL. I found a couple nice tanks for practically nothing. Hoping they return my emails soon.

I think your tank may be too tight for 3? or at least you will need to switch to a bigger tank earlier.

Oh its def. too small.

I'm going to throw in alot more plants and stuff, and if i did get 2 more i'd get small baby ones like i have.

I'm upgrading in a month or two to a 55+ depending on what kind of apartment I can get.

Great tank! and may i just say you deserve a round of applause for your effort, I probably would have given up by now, but your going to have to do something about that rainbow shark return to the local fist store and even if they dont give you ur money back let them keep it. I suggest getting a background, their cheap and they make the tank look so much nicer. GOOD LUCK!!!
