New Fish and Plants

A few days ago I went and picked up some new fish. I added 3 Gold Barbs and 2 Ruby Red Barbs to my 29 gallon. I've tried Googling Ruby Red Barbs and got nothing that really looks like my fish, and nothing matching the name, so I'm wondering if I was given the wrong name and if anyone could sort that out for me. Since I got the new fish I've been thinking about trying live plants, so today I picked up some new lights, fertilizers and plants (which I was not given the name of). My LFS doesn't use co2 in their tanks and their plants seem to be getting along fine, so I'm not going to use co2 unless I find I absolutely have to. Anyways, here's some pics I took... don't mind the debris in the water, I just took out a bunch of fake plants that stirred it all up.

Ooooo...nice! I've seen those barbs on liveaquaria.com but I don't remember the name. You could check out what they have to say about them there. That piece of driftwood is AWESOME too!

20 gallon long: 3 adult Neolamprologus similis + about 11 fry of various ages; low light planted tank
20 gallon long:2 freshwater dwarf puffers (Puff Puff and Poofer); medium-light planted tank
10 gallon: 1 male betta named Wormy; low light planted tank
10 gallon: 1 male betta named Dante; low light planted tank
2, 5.5 gallon tanks that are currently empty (I see more fish on the horizon )

Your tank looks great! Love the black substrate/plants/driftwood/fish...nice contrasting colors.
Any pics of your eel in the new set up??

That would be great! Did you ever figure out what species of barb you added to the tank on your last trip to the LFS?

A few eel pics. I managed to get one of my pleco too for once! Usually he's so dark you can't even see his patterns, but I don't think he was loving the camera in his face and he looks pretty pale lol.

And no, still not sure about the barbs. The closest thing they have on liveaquaria.com are Albino Barbs, but they look nothing alike in person, these ones are bright pink and the Albinos at the LFS are very white haha. I'm not too worried about it though, just curious.
