new betta

my girlfriend brought home a betta fish today. so i had to rush out and get it some adequate housing.

found this bowl at petco, it's gotta built in filter and LED lights.
threw some gravel, some glass stones, and some lucky bamboo in there.

Yea. But bamboo isn't really an aquatic plant. If the leaves are above the water it will grow normally. I found some more healthier and cheaper bamboo at Lowes and was gonna get some of there's next week. It's lucky bamboo which is the easiest to grow and is extremely hardy.

How big is the bowl? It looks really small.

Kindest Regards,
Amanda

Keeping fish its not a hobby it is a passion!

55 gallon, 44 gallon, one 20 gallon tank, three 10 gallon tanks, and a 2.5 gallon all with real plants.

I have MTS and there is no cure.

Please don't take this the wrong way but a betta really needs at least 2.5 gallons and then you need to do water changes at least twice a week. Lots of people think they enjoy small tanks but trust me at one time I had about 40 bettas and they always thrived in at least 2.5 gallon tanks. And they love lots of plants to swim in and out of. Good luck with your betta!

Kindest Regards,
Amanda
