Just thought I'd put up a few pics of my (almost) finished 30g. What you reckon, suggestions welcome...

Oh, sorry for the quality of the pics. The camera's a bit rubbish, need a new one.

My two angels (Schopenhauer and Nietzsche) exploring the new plants, with some mollies knocking around.

Nietzsche trying to hide, no Uberfisch him...

Schopenhauer, so called because of his permanently grumpy (and slightly french) expression...

One of my dwarf gourami's tucking in

Everyone getting some grub.

The other Gourami, he's a real sod to get good pic of, he has a habit of turning at the last moment so all you get it a blue blur...

Thanks for the nice comments folks, it's always pleasant to get some re-assurance! Sorry i haven't replied to this post in ages, i forgot i put it up!

Julie says:
Love the angels. Are they gold calicos?
Thanks! I was told they are marbled Koi angels. I'm no angel expert, and had never really been a fan before i got into fish keeping, but these two are the very first fish i got, and they were only about an inch or so big when i got 'em. I saw them in the LFS and just loved them! They are now the centre piece of the new tank, and look lovely with the better lighting sometimes the orange seems to glow.

I've also put 2 Kribs in there too, and they seem much happier in a larger tank with more hidey holes around.

Thanks kateyoup!

I have just popped my two kribs in this tank, from the smaller one upstairs, and i though that they might need a bit of a hidey hole, so i built them a cave with some spare bits of rock and a tube of sealing stuff.

I also thought i'd show what's happened since the plant's have filled out!

P.S. I'm still sorry about the picture quility, still can't afford a new camera...

This is pretty much the finished product. might make another cave, but i don't really think there's room.

This is the new krib palace, with one of them doing a little bit of gardening.

Either Betty or Doris, i can't tell unless they are together. (Doris is bigger)

What you folks reckon, anything else i should do with it, or is it time to stop meddling...

Ohh, unexpected compliments! Always nice, especially as i'd forgotton about this post! Thanks for your kind words folks, i'm pretty proud of my first decent sized tank.

Joelfish, i went out to get the stones off the hillside near where i live, In Cumbria, uk. They are a sort of green Slate only found in the Honnister/Borrowdale area of the lake district. I like the idea of using local stone in my tank, even if the fish are far from local! Oh, and the reason i got them off the hillside was that i was too poor to buy some at the LFS, but i think i got some that are nicer than any i've seen in the LFS's around here!

I like the small molly too Julie, They were originally bought for my 2.5g tank, then i realised/learnt it was way too small for them, so they are living in the big one. I always though that mollies/platys/guppies were a bit boring, but the little shoal of 5 i've got in there are always bustling around and playing tag, it makes me smile a lot!

Anyway, I have my new camera now, so i'll be posting some better photo's of everything pretty soon, I'm just playing with it at the moment!

Thanks again folks!
