I'm currently acclimating the first fish to arrive (the loaches aren't here yet). They are at grandma's, while the MTS are at my place. A lot of running back and forth for me today.

Free snails, 4 Boraras naevus paid for-9 received, 10 hengels paid for-12 received. I love that seller. Of course it helps I only paid $10 to have them shipped to me. I love my new fish too. This tank is going to be amazing!

Yes they did, all 10! They are being acclimated yet. The rasboras at grandma's have been released after roughly 3 and a half hours. They apparently think they are the same species and are swimming together. The MTS are being acclimated with the loaches and are slowly climbing out of the bag and into the tank.

I added 22 MTS today...not one insta-death! That is an improvement for me. They were busy exploring while I was acclimating the loaches and had the light out. Right now they are mostly buried. The loaches btw are skinnier than the Boraras. Yes, you read that right. They are also slightly hyper in the new tank. I'm fairly sure the Boraras blame me since, the old Boraras have to deal with loaches running into them, while the new Boraras are still considering the hengels to be long lost cousins.

Another bad video. Ignore the floating anubias (if you can even see it).

The tank is shaping up nicely. I am completely in love with it!

Yes, msjinkzd is awesome! So is Jes for the loaches!

PS-I think I know how you feel now. I knew the loaches were tiny. Then I saw them in person.

Those Loachlings look right at home in there and I can see why you are totally in love with that tank!

One question through?? Don't the Loaches burrow into the substrate? How does that work with the soil?

Jes told me the loaches don't dig. I've only had them a few hours, but haven't seen any signs of them doing it. Even if they decided to dig the cap is thicker than they are long, plus they are about are less wide than some of the bigger MTS I got today. They would have to go super crazy to cause any problems I think.
