well it died last night and of course I removed it this morning when I noticed. My nitrates are closer to 80 ppm than 40. You think the gourami dieing could have done that ?

No, I do not think that the gourami is responsible. Regarding your nitrates - it's tough to tell the difference between 40 an 80 isn't it? It's not the most precise test - I wouldn't put too much stock in its results. A ballpark number is sufficient for this, IMO.

yes 40 to 80 is pretty much the same lol. I didnt figure the Gourami was at fault either. At the longest it might have been dead in the tank for 8 hours. So what I am thinking is the wife might be feeding them too much hahaha. I will still do my 15 gallon water change tonight and re test and go from there.

well the tanks all clean and in order, but.... I have lost a female guppy and it looks as if the dwarf flame gourami is gonna die as well. Gonna do another water test in a minute and see how that looks. Be back soon with results.

Ok high PH - 8.2 which is normal for here, Ammonia = 0 Nitrite = 0 Nitrate = closer to 40 ppm

The tank's looking great!!! You *SHOULD* just let things settle down and grow, buuuuuuuutt. . . I can see quite a few places in there that you could TOTALLY attach some Anubias to. . .

I feel 100 will be to many lol. I wanna fill in the area where I currently have some and then over to the left corner. Thinking 50 would be enough and figured I could do a RAOK the others. This will all depend on the quality of the plants. I dont wanna give away garbage plants.
