Not sure but I think that's considered low light. Think the new high intensity LED lights are high light.

I would have to agree with you rsskylight04, it seems low tech. Doesnt look super bright either. I do know that the L. Repens and Java Ferns I have are growing very well in it though.

I have dwarf Sagittarius in my 29 gallon tank. Which has low lighting on it. The plants are for now staying about 2"-3" tall. They have been in the tank for about a year or more now. The things you have read about them getting taller due to light are the same things I have read also. Have also read that the closer they are planted together they taller they get to compete for light. Tho that hasn't really matter much to mine as I have a big mat of them close together. Also here's a twist I have the same plants in my emersed tank that has high lighting and the emersed form of it growes taller then the submerged plants for me. Haha...

TY very much Boredbomb. That post helps set my mind at ease for sure, for I did want them fairly close together and not more than 4 inches tall. The person I bought them from goofed on shipping and said they would make up for it by sending me more. $12.50 shipped for 10+ plants sounds good to me. If they do get tall then I suppose I will have to sell them to someone else hahaha.

Here is an urgent question. My fancy tail Pleco seems to be missing its fancy. I have seen my ghost shrimp hanging around it a lot lately. Is it possible that they are chewing at his/her fins ?

I would think your Von Rio tetras to be more likely culprits.
With only 2 their natural urge to pick on each other won't be satisfied, and fancy tails are nice swimming buffets of free protein.

I haven't noticed anything other than the shrimp near it though. I did move it to the 10 gallon tank which has 2 ghost shrimp in it. Though one of them is berried and about to blow:)

Ok update on the albino pleco..... We held the memorial for it this morning. Sad day at the " My try at a new 55 " household.

On a happier note. The berried shrimp has dropped her eggs/larvae, so we will see what comes of that.

aww that's pants sorry to hear that.
but wehhhhheyyyyy on the larvae

when you set up a new tank, hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.

As far as the larvae, I cant see any of them lol. But she is all berried out. Poor Poor Pleco.

Once again on a better note, I went to petco for some food for the Julii's and told the guy that 6 of the 9 Neons I bought had died. He gave me a refund woo hoo. So I bought 1 male and 2 female guppies of some sort haha.
