Here is another question for you guys. A guy at work gave me some driftwood. He said it was in a dry tank with a lizard for about a week. Can I clean it and use it in my tank ? (It doesnt look nasty or dirty)

it can be used but i would boil it for a long long time. make sure to get any urine out of the wood and also to bring the tannins out as well so not to turn your aquarium water in to tea colored water. boiling is your best best.

I have heard some people say that it will still turn my water colors. Wondering if in time it clears back up ? (still boiling)

i used the wood from the tank i kept a bearded dragon in,
unless the lizard dedicated all over the tank, you'll be ok,still
a boiling won't hurt it.
