Order the lace rock online. Or sum pet stores sell it iv got over 200 lbs of it from my lawn and garden center called Earl Mays they special orderd it for me. around $300 for it. I have found a lot of sights that sell it online.

I would check at your local mulch yard, or serious landscaping supply store (not lowes or homedepot), someplace that has a stone yard.

These places have all sorts of different rocks in all shapes and sizes most of them will let you dig around and just buy a few rocks.

I bought enough rocks from my local place to aquascape my 55 gallon with many caves and places to hide, for $2.32 . For that I got like 20 nice sized stones.

My local fish store sells the exact same stones around $5 each
