Thanks Kate!

I do quite like it - just not used to it yet. I'll see how it looks when the plants have grown a bit and decide from there.

Nice tank.

Your cat is a Brochis Cat, 'Brochis multiradiatus' iirc.

Tanks: 40 gal FW setup, 10 gal Reef tank.

Old BC8 setup: http://www.fishforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=10744

No I'll upgrade. I'm wanting a big tank anyway so it's not liike it's "out of my way" to upgrade as I'd want a bigger tank in time anyway. As you can see they're still small so will be fine for a wee while yet. I plan on upgrading in about a years time when I've left uni and have a job and therefore money but I'll see how quickly they grow, and if need be then I will upgrade much sooner.

Thanks for the compliment about the plants. :)

lovely tank there Julie,
the extra plants have made a difference,
well done. :)

when you set up a new tank, hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.

Tank has had a bit of an overhaul - the skull has found itself on the opposite side of the tank for a start, LOL.

And here's the updated full tank shot:

Thanks a lot. :) I really appreciate the kind comments here.

I actually have 4 in there now (time to update the tank blurb, LOL). I got my first 2 at a lsf in Glasgow which I know isn't much help, and haven't seen them in there since. One has since passed on and I decided i would get another few to keep her company. They're not a schooling fish like other tetras are, but they seem to appreciate their own company. it was a while before I could find them again but I noticed by pure chance that a new lfs which had recently opened up (also in Glasgow) that they had 3 little baby ones about 1" in length, so I bought them all. I spoke to the guy about it and he said he hadn't had them in before, and that there wasn't much interest in them so he probably wouldn't order them again.

2 of the babies have since grown and are about 2.5" now. They're really fast growers. My original pair were 1.5-2" when i got them and have/had grown to 3.5". One of the babies however has stayed tiny - it seems he is the runt.

If you're interested in them and can find them, I really recommend them. They're very active and fun to watch. One of my favourites actually. :)

Looking good!

I've always liked that texture in the background of the tank.
