Talking my first aquascape

i have been wanting to do a aquascape for a while and i finally decided to start! It will be in a 20gallon once i rehome my crawfish. i think i want to do african dwarf frogs in it or maybe even shrimp, if and when i get algae i will get an otocinclus and i want to keep it pretty minimal with the fish. As i said earlier i finally began the whole process!!!

so the first step to starting my aqauscape was to draw everything out on paper and to begin the growing process. i am growing dwarf hairgrass, a purple sword (idk the real name), and some kind of fern (again idk what type). they are in a 10g and i gave them their first dose of plant food. i will post pictures tomorrow i think. well i guess thats all hopefully ill get some people following this to help me along the way

Be sure not to bury the rhizomes on ferns. They will rot and die. Bury roots just up to the rhizome. You can also attach ferns to drift wood or rocks with cotton thread. The ferns will eventually anchor themselves and the thread will rot away. Good luck.

depending on the wood,it can take a while,
if its a small bit,you could flu it to some slate and burry that in the
substrate.

ive already boiled it, but it sits kinda funny and falls over so slate might not be a bad idea...

Sounds like you're to the point where a small rock would weigh the wood down until it is thoroughly waterlogged.
