This is my pond. Nothing fancy here either. It's small and nothing, but goldfish ranging in all sizes. I am going to my Mom's later today to get some plants for it. It sits on my screened in deck, so it's not exposed to the full effects of the elements.

Cool tanks! I want a 75G, but the parents wont let me get one. :)

I like the basic design of your pond. Looks pretty simple to build something like that too. Is it just like the wood box, with pond liners in it (and the fountain)?

That's it Just a box built with pressure treated 4x4's and capped with treated 2x4's to cover the liner. Bought the liner and pump/fountain in a kit at Home Depot. I'm not as involved with the pond as I am the tank. Basically, we enjoy fish so mush I just built that to accent our sreened in deck. We spend a lot of time out there grilling out and just relaxing.

I am looking for a fountain like what you have in your pond. You say you bought it at Home Depot? Can you buy the fountain by its self w/out a kit?
and do you remember how much it was?

That's right. Home Depot, they keep the pond stuff in the garden center. For me starting a new pond it was cheaper for me to buy the kit. I only gave $119 for it. Yes, you can buy the fountain by itself. They were $49 for the pump. The tube and the end pieces for the attachments for different fountain effects are separate. Not sure how much.

Wow, I'm definately going to have to look into this when I decide to setup a pond (or when/if the parents let me). And I'm sure you could stick like a canister filter on the outside/back of this for the extra filtration if that is needed.

Do you know how many gallons the pond holds?

Thanks for the complement I have at least 20 species in that tank and some I don't even remember what they are. Just to name a few, 2 blue rams 1 common the other long fin. Several tetras, neon, sarpae, black skirt, red phantom, red eye ect. 3 or 4 different types of gourmi, clown pleco, long fin fancy mollies, a pair of sail fin mollies, tiger barbs, albino tiger barbs, 2 angel fish ect. We plan to transfer those angels and some of those gourmis when they "out grow" our tank. We plan to keep everything in that tank 4" max.

I'm not certain. I asked that question on another forum and I was told the way to calculate gallons of a pond is LxWxD divided by 231. If that is in fact correct that would make mine about 84 gallons
