Took lots of new pics of my 55G today. Went to Spokane today to the LFS there, and picked up a huge piece of driftwood. It weighed about 12lbs, lol. Barely fits my 55G, lol. It's the piece that's more orange, on the left side of the tank, on the bottom. It's awsome.
Wow! I see another one hiding in his cave.8) I envy you with the fire eels, Lone. All I have is a tire track eel at 5 inches. He's always on the move.
Yup, they are awsome. They spend more time in the holes in the driftwood than anywhere else. But since I shook the tank up and added the new piece, they are investigating tonight, lol. And that fake log where he's at, that's the Rainbow Sharks domain, lol. The Rainbow gave up trying to run the eels out, they just ignore the shark, lol.
I like it. All the hiding spots you have are great for the fish. In any good tank you should never be able to see all the fish at any given time. And really, the more stuff you have in there the more secure the fish will feel and also the more surface area you have for growing beneficial bacteria. Grats on the tank, it looks lovely. I especially love the fire eels.
