Hi peeps. Just thought you all might like to see some of the tanks I have been running over the last few years. My current tanks are in my aquarium lisiting, but these are some that have come and gone...beware though, there are some biorbs in there as I like them and they really do make great little tanks if you ignore the dreadful instructions that come with them and just understock them with small slim bodied fish after cycling them fishless (properly) first. I also love to modify them as well :-D
So, here we go...
I love puffers of all shapes and sizes and started out with keeping dwarf puffers. After that I was hooked!
I love my tanks and am gutted to be forced to run just 7 tanks at the moment. Downsizing was a hard thing to do, but is a necessity. One day I'll possibly be back up to 12 running tanks. I have tanks dotted around the house instead of table lamps
I am running 7 at the moment...
12 gal nanocube marine mini maxi anemones and sexy shrimp
45L striped red eye puffer
120L brackish figure 8 puffers and bumblebee gobies
125L community with tetra and albino cories
155L marine reef
180L marine reef
180L fancy goldfish
My spare time is usually taken up with tank cleaning and maintenance
He's 100% freshwater and was a beauty. The only thing is you don't get to see too much of them as they're lurkers and hide in the sand alot waiting for food to swim by. It makes alot of people think the tank is empty
OMG, very beautiful!!! You are very creative, the way you scape your tanks. The fish look fantastic. I notice you have bumblebee gobies.. do you have a problem feeding them??? I just got off the phone with my LFS and they just got in a batch of BBG and I reserved 2. I have had them before with no problems, but my research this time, has shown many having issues with feeding. :?:
I still have the 6 I started off with 3 years ago so I must be doing something right. I tend to feed the puffers first and then use a big turkey baster pipette to squirt small live bloodworms or enriched brine shrimp down to their network of caves.
Your tanks are very well thought out and stocked well. A lot of hard work plays off by the beautiful small parts of nature you have created in your home.
