That is a lot Vallis there; give that stuff some 4weeks Lordy that's gonna FILL your tank OUT

Consider adding window tint or black poster background now; that'd make it look double awesome then.

Thanks Nat. I forgot to mention a background. That's coming. Black of course
I just remembered my banana plants. Left them on the table. I will post a shot or two of them in a minute.

Here's one of five banana plants. The lighting is brighter because i left the flash on. My bad. They just sit on the substrate. I'm not sure if these or the Anubius Coffeefolia is my favorite. I think the Coffeefolia is. It's so tiny. I love it. Wait, big burly truck drivers don't attach to plants. errr I mean it's really cool. Yeah, that's what I mean.

wow good job, and lol about burly truck driver saying "cute'
i used "activ-flora planted aquarium substrate" sand, and fine gravel. i also had mabey 5 lbs of black gravel to begin with leftover from a separate tank.
sop the to be puff 29 has gravel, the fine gravel and then suuper fine sand (all black) and a black background (i guess great minds think alike lol? i did it to minimise the attention to the tank and maximise it on the DP's since they are so small)
I am ordering more plants, it seems SA did really good by you guys? (angel079 mabey i wont use that guy, who knows, he hasnt replied in a while)...
Mean harri (big E) your tank looks beautiful in my head (its grown in my head) that pennywort stuff is supposed to kick ass too when it grows.
COngrats on the setup, and glad the plants came ok, even witht the trouble.
So i wanted to say, i did the 156 million trips with water when adding the substrate in order to condition my tap. (and this one says the bacteria will be alive if purchased within a 90 day window, and there is a date printed. mine are all good) (but my tap can smell like a pool sometimes, so i was really careful about it.)
i cant wait to see the danios and tetras in there!! (or whatever you decide on!)

CONGRATS!!!!!
P.s.
which one is the coffeolia?? i gotta see it now you've described it so

Rosehower, the Coffeefolia is the tiny plant attached to the left side of the driftwood. It's about 2 inches tall with small pad- like leaves.
Thanks for the kind words. I think I have almost too many plants. Maybe not too many but enough that scaping a planted tank for the first time ever in my life was a little nerve racking at the end due to so many plants.

i'm a 3rd time to plants person as i think ive told u before in another thread, but both times before horrible failures, lol.
so we're new in this together, seems tjho you have your sh** together way more than me. i get all worried i F**ed up in the middle of things and tend to make the wrong choices due to that.
panicky, what can i say.
thats alright, it might look a bit busy and felt that way to you since your a beginner (as am I) but i think once those bad boys grow in your'll be one happy camper, and who knows you might even add to it.
its always a learning curve.

Eric, totally awesome job!! It looks great! Can't wait to see it grow in a little. Those banana plants are quite interesting too. I might have to get a few myself to try it out now. The DW you found is so cool too! Everything looks amazing. You made great choices in your plant selection. So glad it all worked out in the end for you.

What's the plant to the left of your DW that's just slightly shorter then it? I like that!

Thanks everybody.
Lisa, that plant to the left is Bacopa Monieri. I started finding it hard to have places to put things. I just stuck it there. It will likely stay there too. The banana plants are really neat. They sunk immediately. I've read that sometimes there are "floatees" in the banana plant. One decided to float up and for awhile it was mid level. It looked like a little hot air balloon floating around. Almost as if it had personality.

It is 8:10 am. I've just started sipping my first cup of coffee and am forcing myself to stay away from the tank for a little while. I find myself wanting to get in there and move stuff. I do have a rearranging to do with the dwarf onion and banana plants, but I'll wait until later.

You sound so happy finally; is awesome! Just do not freak out if some plants turn yellow or melt on you like the crypts in particular they're very touchy "shippers" and / or when you replant them. But then don't worry, just pinch off the broken leaves and it'll all grow back nicely
And please give them all a chance to grow; don't remodel the tank every single week like our other Sweetie on here (Don't get me wrong, love that gal but she's got to keep her fingers away from the tanks for a lil while lol)
