It has been a long time since I've last uploaded my pictures of my fish. Let's get the ball rolling..Some pictures may not be that good though. I've struggled to get good photos.
Thanks, Tangy. The Sturisoma is very active foraging the bottom much of the time.:shock2: I have difficulty finding him amongst my driftwoods.
Okay, Tangy. I know you'll be happy with my decision.:sarcastic: As Betta coccina is no longer available, I decided to get some licorice gouramis (Parosphromenus deissneri). As for Sphaerichthys vaillanti, I don't get bargain for it however I'm satisfied anyway with the licorice. Shipment should be up by Monday and I'll be knocking wood all over just to assure myself they'll be fine.
I was sure I had already posted here after your new addition, seemingly not...
He/she looks lovely! I think you made the right decision between this and the other plec (I can't remember which one it was, LOL, but I remember thinking this one was much prettier at the time.)

It's the wallet I am worried about, not the Christmas present.
I still need a styrofoam for the bottom and a sponge to set up a sponge filter for it and it'll cost me considering I buy them in lfs even at a high price.:sarcastic: Public markets-->>my safety..
And for correction on my previous post, cross out extra 'c'. It's Hemiloricaria sp..

I may have mislabelled my Sturisoma.:sarcastic: The new one I have now is indeed Sturisoma panamense. Also, I was told last night by my friend that he has only 5 kuhlis left so I decided to go on with it and add another licorice gourami to my cart. I have received my order already and the licorice gouramis are building up my confidence to buy the Sphaerichthys vaillanti and try other species of chocolate gouramis.
Pictures will be posted as soon as I get my pc fixed.:sarcastic: The pc warped again.:redmad:
At least, all troubles into getting the fish is over now. I was really nervous last night and getting restless as I wait for my fish to arrive.:shake: And *knock wood* for my fish's sake. I'm getting a little nervous as my fish are still under quarantine.:blueworry:
Edit: Java moss has been added in my 20g. My cories and gouramis went crazy over their new home so I'm confident they may breed when I least expect it.
I believe it is, Willow. I have 3 males and 3 females but the pic was taken in their dull color phase. It was a lazy morning at that time for them anyway. They seem to prefer hiding among Java moss. There are already "compartments" in those balls of moss.
Update: The plec was mislabelled so it's now officially not a Sturisoma panamense after I consulted deeper into Planetcatfish.com's articles and their forum. It could be Rineloricaria parva, according to some PC members and could be the only closest possible ID unless its history of where it was collected is known. I have my suspicions that this could have been collected from Paraguay but this does not necessarily mean the fish is now offficially Rineloricaria parva although I could refer it as that way until someone can confirm an affirmative to it.
I do however have the true Sturisoma panamense here now but I have troubles with my camera warping slightly.:redmad:

Thank you, Kate. They're doing really well but I still need to get more foods for them.
Still concentrating on the first pleco's ID. It really stumped me and even more stumped when the Planetcatfish.com members made guesses between Sturisoma and Rineloricaria. If anyone knows, can you please add in your thoughts about this fish's identity? More photos can be found in page 4.
More photos of my licorice gouramis (Parosphromenus deissneri). The male has very pretty colors (shown on last two photos).:shock2: Female is shown in first two photos.
Here is the sparkling gourami (Trichopsis pumila). Both of mine have grown quite a lot since I bought them a month ago.
