Nah, I brought it all in when it started getting 'cold' as I got worried it might not take it too well. When it gets nice and hot out I'm gonna set some outside in some MCOPM and see how it does ^-^ Might help me make carpet for the ten a bit faster.

Planted HOBs are so pretty! I've been having fun finding random clippings from my moms plants that do well, problem is most of them are really big! Hard to make 'em all fit.

He seems to be doing well! He's kind of weird though. He really likes crawling around in the d.sag, I don't know if he likes the cover or what...He's been munching on all the baby scuds while I've been working on using the turkey baster to remove all the adults. Yussss. He pays no attention to the shrimps, which I'm glad of. I was a bit worried.

UGHHH.

So, today I noticed some weird whiteness on one of my Rasboras mouth. I tried to get pics/video but nothing came out very clear. I'll upload them anyway just in case it helps a bit.

Anyways, the whiteness looks almost like bumps? It doesn't look fuzzy. It's mostly one one side of his mouth, but there's a small amount on the other. But on the one side it looks like two bumps on the bottom lip, and one on top. I'm not sure what exactly this is? Is it from an injury? Should I QT him? I can remove the betta from the ten and put him there.

His colors are good, he's eating (although he kept making motions like his mouth was bothering him while he ate), and he's shoaling with the group as normal.

;C

I'll attach the vid once it uploads to youtube.

So after more observation I think I may see some white on another one's mouth...:/ It's hard to tell, but now I'm getting really worried.

I'm gonna do a water change (can't hurt anything), but other than that I have no idea. I don't even know what it is?

Update: Rasboras still seem fine, the white seems to be slowly going away.

New 10 gallon tank shots, pics of my planted HOBs, plus bonus shot of some bladderwort I found at the lake. So preeeetty.

Also, the betta has been confined to the 3 gallon, as I caught him murdering a cherry shrimp.

I added a few stems I collected from the lake to the ten gallon. I've also been messing around with the sticks, again. Oh, and I've added DIY Co2 (sugar/yeast) to the ten gallon just to see if it would do much. So far I've seen a bit of what I'm assuming is 'pearling' from the d.sag, and the roots on my frogbit have become quite 'fluffly'. It's been running for about 3 days. I have it wedged into the filter sponge intake, although eventually if it seems to improve plant growth I'll get a proper diffuser.

Can I have your 10 gallon? Please? I can pay. I'll take good care of it and fill it with awesome fish. I'll even take you pictures as long as you don't insist on them coming out anywhere near as well as your's did.

What is the emergent flowering plant in the fourth picture?

Only if you fill it with awesome fish and we share custody :3

It's actually bladderwort! It's the flowering parts of it that I snipped off a mat of bladderwort that I found floating at the lake. I ruined my shoes for it :(

I'll have to get a pic of the whole thing, it basically looks like a mutant snowflake with a flower stuck to it.

I'm not even going to try and guess which bladderwort it is. Those all look way too much alike to me. Have you told Izzy you're now keeping a carnivorous plant?

I should!! It makes me giggle every time I look at it, it makes me think of like an angler fish. It has this cute little yellow flower, and then these creepy, creepy little tentacle/hand/snowflake things.

It's odd, though. I've never seen this plant at the lake before, I'm kind of wondering if it came off the propeller of someone's boat, which has happened before (and is totally illegal...).

It seems to be happy in my tank though!
