*digs into my wishlist*
I'm sooooo tempted to give you scientific names only just to annoy you, but I won't. Emerald Eye Rasbora
shouldn't be hard to find, pretty, and would work in either tank Fire Rasbora
super pretty, but harder to find and would probably require shipping. Suitable for the big tank. Eight Banded False Barb
again pretty, but would likely require shipping. Suitable for the big tank. Daisy's Ricefish
may be a bit pricey (cheapest I ever saw them was $4.50 which adds up quick with shoalers and likely shipping). Your water is slightly soft for them, but only by a degree or two. Sundadanio axelrodi
Blue form is the most common, no clue what species it is now. There's also the green form (S. margarition) and red form (S. rubellus). Doesn't matter because they are all sold as S. axelrodi. I'm just a nerd and demand factual correctness. Dwarf Zebra Hovering Loach
is not on my wishlist, because I own them and they are awesome! Really in doubt about the 2 inch size stated here. I've never seen close to that. Burmese Rosy Loach
again likes it a little harder, but just by a degree or two. I would love to have these, but as is often the case I had to make choices between different fish. Other sites state closer to an inch for them, which to me means they would have to be spastically hyper to to be able to be kept in a 10. Guess it depends. Dario Hysginon
has no common name :P My last one of these died last week but they were fun. Mine took pellets, carnivore tabs, and Repashy, although that might not always be the case. Not going to list Scarlet Badis since you know them. Sparkling Gourami
, ok so some people report they will work together to hunt shrimp. Most fish will eat babies, but these guys might kill adults too. Also some claim they get very aggressive when spawning. No clue. Betta channoides
just cause mouthbrooding Betta are awesome.
How many is that? *goes to count* 10! Seems like a good stopping point. For now anyway. I mean we didn't even talk about other Bettas, Danios, Indostomus, chocolate or licorice gourami or even get out of Southeast Asian (besides the Fire Rasbora which is from Sri Lanka...still a factually correct nerd).
