Big Al's Pets has Zoo Med Aquasun T5-HO Fluorescent Hood - 2 x 24 W - 24"for only 54.99 which is a great deal. I use zoo meds on most my tanks and comes with the option to run one or two bulbs. This would give you enough light to grow anything. I would recommend a 6500k or 6800k and a 5000k bulb. Substrate is really important as well, I prefer eco complete because it last forever and gets better in time if you are using tap water since it already has minerals in it and eco complete has a high CEC which means it holds nutrients. ADA soil you can get fast growth but in time it becomes dirt and loses it punch. I dont even have to dose ferts in my tank. If I had RO water I would need to dose ferts.

It's been almost a YEAR since we've seen that pretty fishroom of yours!
I need updates!!! I'm going through Knuggs withdraws!

Thanks :) I use pressurized co2 and our tap water is really hard so it gets alot of nutrients. Also its peacock moss which i think java may grow faster but not sure I dont have any java moss.

I am interested in the nano thing you showed in the first post. How big is it? Tell me more!
The nano was only a few ml not much at all. Was cool but kind of a pain to keep due to evaporation and having to change the water in it all the time. Smaller tanks are definitely harder than bigger tanks just because of the water column and volume.

I will update one of these days... just gotta find some time and energy.

It was a Erio Blood Vomit (Trithuria Sp) which can be harder to find. Theres lots of small foreground plants you could try too. Theres multiple different types of small Erios, Buces, and anubias you could prolly do it with as well. You could prolly even grow a plant straight out of it as well...
