Journal of my Fish

Heres a list of my fish in my tank:
1-Large Angel fish
1-Small Angel fish
1-Starry Night Eel
1-Yellow Spiny Eel
2-Common Plecos
2-Gold Gouramis
1-Silver Dollar
2-Bala Sharks
1-Colombian Shark

All of my fish are living peacefully. They have been living in there for about one month. My dad brought home the two gold gouramis with out telling me first, but they seem to do fine. They chase each other around quite often but they don't seen to hurt each other. I have noticed they lose their antennas every now and then. I don't know if that is normal or not, but they do grow back within a day or two. The two balas are really active swimming all over the place. After adding the Colombian shark a few days ago, the silver dollar now spend most of his time in the stump. The Yellow Spiny eel comes out every other day searching the lands for food. He's very cool. My dads overly large angelfish "General Tso" loves swimming all over the place. He tends to swim sideways while eating which is very amusing to watch. The LFS stated he came from the Chinese restaurant next door, so we felt he needed a fancy name. His smaller buddy "Sarge" follows him everywhere like he is his idol. Very rarely do I see the Starry Night eel. Maybe once a week i see him moving around to a new hiding space, besides that usually his head and tail are sticking out of the gravel. I was told the Plecos were Commom but one looks different than any of the ones I've seen.

Hmm. How big is that tank? It's very lovely but I'm afraid you may be very overstocked. Common plecos can and often do reach a foot in length and need at least a 55gal, preferably more. In fact, all of your fish will reach lengths of 6" or more and need a much bigger tank. For all of those fish, I'd recommend a 75gal at least, maybe even a 100gal.
