Thank you for your kind thoughts. It is tough, but it's the ones we still have that keep us going.

So I got out my camera and played. I found some settings that work for the betta tank and shrimp tank, but didn't see the horrible reflections in time to retake them (lights out at 9p here). I'll get shots of them tomorrow. I thought all was lost when I just tried the basic settings. And BAM! Perfect goldfish pictures. The tank is much brighter and can easily be over exposed using the settings I have for the betta tank. Without further ado. Waddles and the boys eating dinner...

Burbble's wen never really grew and I'm fine with that. I like small wens.

This is what the whole tank looks like now. I did have to edit this one as it was a bit too bright. It's so hard to get it just right tho... especially with a black and a white fish.

PS. Tomorrow I might try video.

They are lovely! You are doing such a good job taking care of them! You see so many stories like Burbble's, so it's nice to see them being properly looked after!

Aww thanks, guys. I really do love those little chubby fishes.

Anyway, no video tonight. I spent too much time trying to perfect photographing the other tanks. I'll post those in their respective threads once I sort through them.

*SQUEEEEEEE*

Izzy, I just. . . I love them! ^.^

So good to see Waddles in there with her boys! Nice shots, too - I can see that pretty bronze coloration she has clearly, and no flash to blow out those pretty, shiny scales - even on Burbble's whites that are SO hard to get proper exposure on. Can't wait to see what you come up with when you start really playing with the settings on that new cam of yours! Oooor maybe you already did! I'm still playing catch up to all your other threads!!! Forgive!

Speaking of Burbble - I'm glad about his wen, too! Wens are creepy and they frighten me! Nasal bouquets, telescope eyes, and pretty much all the fancy things about the extra-fancy fancies, too. lol. BUT THEY'RE SO DARN SWEET! And chubby. . . *luffsgoldies*

If I had to pick two words to describe goldfish it would be goofy and cute. My other fish are pretty but those goldies are so cute! The reason most people don't like goldfish is that they've never seen the fish at their full potential.

Jes, the wens on Waddles and Burbbles honestly couldn't have been more perfect. Ponyo's wen was about as large as I like them. All of my goldies have just enough wen to give some chub to their faces and no more. I despise huge bulbous wens. My babies have perfectly chubby ones. And Jes you are welcome to share the pictures with Abby. Let her know that Waddles even has boyfriends (gasp!) now.

Abby was thrilled with the pictures - she's seriously excited to learn that Waddle's a little girly, and says she looks fat now! ^.^ I told her it was because she's so good with hand-feeding. She does look super healthy - sounds like she's enjoying the open space, clean water, good food. . . and BOYFRIENDS!!!.. *GRINS*

The shots look GREAT, you must be loving your new camera! *ish jealous* I have some catching up to do!

. . . now what happened to all this talk about a video?!
