What a great story this is! I'm really looking forward to the continued progress and life of Waddles.

Thanks to both of you for being such caring individuals.

Hahaha! Video is not something my camera can do at ALL. It's seven years old and barely takes pictures lol. That said, I didn't get pictures tonight. I'm leaving for the beach on Saturday, and Erik and I went out on a date because we won't get to see each other again for at least a week. By the time I got back the lights had gone out and my flash is crapola. But things have settled down. No more butt sniffing. I'll be sure to get pictures tomorrow! I just hope I'll have time to upload them before I leave for the beach! If not then expect pictures Sunday night.

YAYAYAYAYAY!!!

I'm SO SORRY I've been away, Izzy - life has been SOOOOOO busy (you know, lol).

Thank you for the updates. I am SO EXCITED to hear that he is home with his buddies and so far doing well!

You got him hand-feeding so fast it made my head spin *ish proud* You've got the goldie skills, for sure!

Made me nervous to hear about possible goldfish aggression, then I'm sorry to admit that I kind of giggled. Trying to picture Waddles in attack mode. . . just. . . really?! Can't do it. He's such a . . . DOCILE little dude. Glad to hear that so far he hasn't showed his potential bad side!

He IS tough to get a good shot of, I hear ya! Can't wait until you do - I'm just SO HAPPY that he's home. ^.^

*hugs* Thank you for giving him such a beautiful place to finally be safe. . . :D

Waddles is SUPER docile! Like it was the other goldies that were bullies for a bit. Waddles just took the crazy amount of butt sniffing like a champ. Well... I have pictures, but only a couple turned out okay. Do you know how hard it is to get a picture of a fast black fish on a black background?

As promised... Waddles and the gang!

GIMME!!!

Please?

I also forgot to add that I put in two anubias that are doing wonderfully. I'll probably take out those swords and replace them with other anubias.

These pictures make me so happy. Waddles is so very shy and sweet :) I'm thrilled to hear that all went well with his release, hopefully they're all best buddies by now! Talk about a fast black fish on a black backround, lol. Waddles is a NINJA FISH!!! All your little goldies are just beautiful *squishesfishes*

Keep up the good work, girl! Hopefully life gives us both a lil' bit of a break soon!

So I know it's been a while since I updated this thread. There is good reason. I lost Ponyo in July and was pretty down on my whole tank. I discovered the infection the week before I was to head to the beach with my family. This wasn't an ordinary beach vacation. My grandfather died last fall. On that beach trip my entire family gathered and spread his ashes on the beach where he and Grandmom fell in love. It wasn't an occasion I could skip. When I came back the parasite infection was too great for her. She stopped eating after I got back and passed shortly after. I know I've told some of you, but losing her was a great loss and I just didn't have the energy to post it here. I hadn't even updated my goldfish tank to show she was gone until today.

Anyway, Waddles and the boys (Waddles is a girl btw) are doing just fine. She looks like she has even grown a bit for me. The snails John sent me are still doing great. Since I got my new camera I haven't poked around with it and the fish tanks. BUT the flash is much better so I might be giving you guys some goldfish flash pictures later tonight. For now, the snails will have to do.

I'm so sorry, Izzy. . . I know how much you loved little Ponyo. It's heartbreaking when you can't do anything to help. . . you have a kind heart, girl - and even if it hurts sometimes, I'm so happy that you do - as is every animal (and plant!) that has ever been under your care. *hugs* Glad to see you're working your way through. . .

The snails! The majestic snails! They're lovely, absolutely. And LADY Waddlebottom it is!!! Haha, we're ALL thrilled over here to finally have a gender on the little darling, she is SO super sweet - I'm thrilled, always, to hear how well she's doing for you. Keep up the good work over there - and for goodness sakes! TAKE SOME PICTURES! ^.~
