An intimate look at my monster amazonian fish

Here is a new video of the fish in our 1500 gallon indoor Amazonian pond. Aquatic Design Specialties is dedicated to helping preserve and better understand the worlds fresh water fish. Even if it is only one at a time.

All but a few of our Amazonian monsters were rescued from the pet trade where they had out grown the tanks they were housed in. If not for us they may have met a terrible fate as there are really no options for thier owners. Most public aquaria refuse them, pet stores can't handle them and until our start, there were no rescue groups in place to help. Our only regret is that we are running out of room and may not be able to help many more. We intend to grow our facility, but for now this sanctuary I built in a spare bedroom in my home, has given atleast these few a home to live out thier lives. They also help thier species by being the focus of my on going behavior study. If you are interested in learning more and/or helping please veiw our other videos here....

Nice arrowanas. Are some of the others tembacke (not sure on the spelling, saw it on a documentary)?

Two fish are in a tank. One says to the other "So, how do I drive this thing?"

Man that is cool! I had an arowanna in my 55gal for a while, it ate everything! But is was my favorite fish. After it ate everything it died :( guess it couldn't get enough nutrition. I'm not going to get another one, they just get too big and eat everything. I would love to see those in real life. I know they get huge. I didn't know that when I bought it. I actually got it from walmart, can you believe?!
