So Mom won`t let me out of my baby tank! I am big enough to actually see swimming in my baby tank from 10 feet away, but Mom thinks I am still a snack. I am a 1/4" wide and over 1/2" long and I get very excited when Mom feeds me!
Mom posted a new video of me and all the tank buddies who might eat me. (Except for the big fat Raphael Cat fish that eats full sized Algae disks in one slurp who lives in the Pirate ship when it can fit its self in! ) I think Mom needs to give him away soon! He does not bother any of the 7 Corys, just the big Pleco.
When can Mommy let me out? How big do I have to be... besides bigger than the biggest mouth in the tank?

Please tell Mom to let me out!! I think I might be a Pineapple Swordtail.

Mom got rid of the big fat Rafael Cat fish today. Took him to the LFS. Mom is sad but I'm not. That means the biggest mouth in the tank is no longer this big [--------] LOL That's big enough to eat a whole algae disk in one shot. He could have eaten a Panda Cory!! but he didn't.
She brought home two Boesmani RBF, 3 little Oto's and a Swordtail M/F. Figured she might as well take advantage of the good bacteria that was present due to the RafCat so it won't cause a mini cycle adding the new friends.
Can't wait to get out of here!!!

Yippeee I"m out!! Well Mom made a DIY tank divider using the instructions she found here at TFK, with plastic mesh, report cover spines and fishing line. $3 !! So now the big tank 75 gallon, has a 1/4 area seperated and I'm in there with one Albino and one Peppered Cory. Only cause they just got on the wrong side of the mesh. Mom also put in a pregnant Calico Molly with me so I will have some buddies when her babies are born. She is square on the bottom so I don't think it will be long. She comes close to see me but has not tried to eat me. Whewwww!! Will keep you posted on life in the QT. (1/4 tank)

Ok so I see that Fishbabie has provided updates in the QT....
However I have discovered that there are in fact 3 Corys in there... a bronze, an albino and a peppered... along with one Oto and the Calico Molly. My question to you is: Will any of those bottom feeders eat baby Mollies? The mom could I guess but am I ok to leave the ground feeders on Fishbabie's side of the tank?

So... another update....The Calico Molly had at least 7 babies today. 6 are now in the Nursery floating in the QT. (Quarter tank) One was her lunch today. But I was also able to move the pregnant Neon Swordtail into the QT to possibly save a couple of her babies too. It's a 75 Gallon so I'm not worried for now. I also have a 10 gal cycled ready to go, and a LFS that will buy anything I can bring in.

I was away for 2 days, no one fed the tank. ( Sheesh!) and I put the light on to feed them late last night when I got home and it was very strange to see the Rainbowfish when they have been sleepiing. The Turq were almost black and swam the equivalent of "stumbling around". None of them was interested in the food I put in! It was disconcerting but everyone was fine this morning! Colour and appitite returned. And that is when I saw the babies and Mom Molly chasing them arouind. Had to act quick to save them.

Well Baby number 1 has been moved to the big half of the tank. She's wearing her big girl fins now!! lol She has spent the last 2 days with Miss Big Pregnant Molly who is extreemly aggressive tonight... I took pity on the little one and moved her over. All the fish started twitching like I had dropped in Blood worms but all has settled down. The two smallest, that are bigger than she, are Rosie Danios, long finned, and seem to want to chase her around too, they spend all day chasing each other anyway, but none of the others have really joined in. The Male Neon Swordtail is not really interested in her, she likes him, and one of my Boesmani RBF has taken an interest in her but it's not aggressive. A few of the other larger RBF seem to start to charge her but then go... eh, not food, never mind. Thank goodness, I think she is safer on the big side than in with Miss Molly. I expect more Molly babies tomorrow morning.lol, she's mad and huge. Sounds about right. lol
Will keep you posted.
