By consensus, the term "cycle," as used here, refers to the nitrogen cycle, the use of bacteria to oxidize nitrogen compounds thus removing them from the environment.

Whatever you may chose to call the use of plants to remove ammonia et.al (silent cycle, whatever) it is NOT the nitrogen cycle which is the topic of this thread.

looks like its holding pretty steady. Definitely not a very robust cycle though. My advice would be to let it simmer for another couple days, but test the water for spikes. maybe a little elevated levels will kick your cycle up into second gear. Of course i could be wrong?
Have you looked into RO units? i dont know very much about them, but ....

RO stands for Reverse Osmosis which removes all impurities and minerals from the sourcewater. You then need to replace the minerals that have been removed and adjust the hardness and pH to your specifications.

RO units are very expensive, and only worth it if you're keeping extremely sensitive species or you water is totally unacceptable.

Well guys it's been a busy week for me I was basically getting home to sleep and go to work next day I cut on prime as hallyx recommended and I was adding only 2 drops per gallon after all this days I couldn't get a chance to test until today and I think we're done with this

Ammonia 0ppm
Nitrite 0ppm
Nitrate5.0ppm
Ph 7.8
I tested like 3 different times thinking it was dream or something but no it is real same readings in the 3 tests so thank you guys for all that help after over 20 pages of posts we have finally cycled that big tank :)
