HEy All,

I have this one fish in my comm tank, I have no idea where he came from?, my guess is he came with a
plant I purchased, I know the vid is a bit fuzzy, but I was hoping someone would have an idea what
he is?.

Thanks

Don

Don any change of a clear still picture?

It *could* be a young guppy but really w/out seeing a clear cut shot that's a blind shot.

Ok, any change you can describe it to us?

Length exact coloration? Any markings such as strips, dots etc? Any specific eye color?

Hes about an inch long, he was super tiny when I first found him, hes a very neutral color, with a dark stripe from head to tail, very slender.

Oh thank godness....that's the only one's I could think of when you said it had a stripeif that wouldn't have been it, i'd have had to let you don't with "i donno" lol.

Yes they're egg layers. Thou it could have also been that the lil bugger hung on to a plant leaf of a plant that you gotten from the store..these thing happen a lot.

Shutting down oh no....why?

Yeah had to be a plant I bought,

I am shutting down my Comm tank, because I have to many, we just got our electric bill today, and its 80 dollars a month more then last month, some of it has to do with heat, but still pretty high,

I have 5 tanks running, two 20 Gals, a 56 Gal, and a 55Gal, the 56 and 55 are running double filters. I also have mr h's little hex tank, but it only has a light. I have to upgrade My fahaka's tank soon to at least a 120 Gal, I will then move my Dwarf puffers to my fahaka's old 55 Gal, and sell the 20 the dwarfs were in, so I will be down to two HUGE tanks, both running massive filters, so I need to shut a few tanks down :)

The 56 Gal has my daughters Oscars in it, we are re-homing one of them, as she can not afford to buy a bigger tank. It is runng two huge filters, and they can't keep up with their mess. So one has to go.

So yeah, I am keeping my betta, 4 dwarf puffers and my fahaka, everything else is going.

Oh my....what a shame.....but $80 is NOT your tanks I have to tell you this much...cause I just recently went for the heck of it and calculated my 4 tanks (55, 45, 2x10g) with the assumption the heaters in each run 12hrs/ day which is unrealistic high and then all other electronics are a give me....

Its costing me $18/month for my tanks (kwh = $0.08613) If I shut down my 55g that would "safe" me a TOTAL of $7/ months so that's really not going to make a big difference on your bill there at all........maybe rather keep it and install CFL lights?
