Hooray! New camera, time to play!

Sooo, my long awaited new camera has arrived, thanks to a moment of uncharacteristic generosity from the taxman, so i thought id put up a few random shots i took.

Please bear in mind that i've only had the camera for about 30 mins and i'm not entirely sure how to use it yet (haven't read the manual), so some of the photos are not perfect. I'll post some more when i've got the hang of it and have made my fortune as a world renowned fish photographer!

Here are the first few attempts!

This is Thermi, my Blue lobster trying to attack me up the glass, which is why her claws are blurred.

This is Thermi sulking in her log after she failed to bite my fingers off and steal my camera.

This is Schopenhauer, my grumpy, slightly french looking, angel fish.

Got the focus a bit wrong on this one, but i just likes it, it's either Betty or Doris hiding in the weeds.

And, just for Julie, because she's been twineing about wanting to see some pics. this is Midge and his friend Tim, (who is staying with Midge for about a week or so till we've managed to clone another tank for him to live with my GF)

Midge and Tim pottering about by the heater.

Midge and Tim curious about the camera.

Midge being camera shy.

That's all the decent one's i got so far, i'm gonna have to read the manual and maybe learn a bit about photography as i have never looked into it on a level deeper than "point the camera at the ting, push the button, hope." I'll post better ones when i take 'em!

All comments welcome!

Thanks folks, appreciated. I've not had much time to play today, what with work and all, but i did explain to Midge that Julie had threatened to fishnap him, and this was his response...

I think i scared him!
