Help me ID these fish I saw at my mom's doctor's office.

I was waiting for my mom at her appointment, and I saw these fish. I don't know what they are, so I thought I'd ask here. It was kind of sad. They were each in groups of 2, and seemed a bit aggressive and the littlest one seemed insecure, and he kept chasing the others. He seemed to look like he was lonely. So, what types of fish are they? I'm guessing the Piranha-looking one is a Red Belly Pacu. I have no idea what the whitish ones are, though!

I'm guessing they're a type of minnow. Can you describe them more?

They're not minnows, they were HUGE. I don't know why the pictures went away, I'll try to post them again.

The one lookes like a species of Pacu, similar to pirhanas, and the other looks like a bala shark or in that family.

I looked it up, and I'm sure they are Red Belly Pacus and Tinfoil Barbs. They should be kept in MUCH larger groups. Poor fish.

Cute fish but I feel sorry for them in the wrong environment.

+1, Red Tail Tinfoil barbs and a Pacu. What size of a tank was this??

It looked to be about 55 gallons, which is not enough, obviously. Those fish were at LEAST 6 inches in length, and the biggest pacu was the size of my hand, including fingers.
