lol Pictures of the offspring growing. Having fun with this and thought you might like to see them. You are Grandparents to them as far as I am concerned. ;-) Just look at what they gave me!!!!
The Gold Dust Mollies and on the right you can see one of the Mickey Mouse Platty fry (but no tail markings as of yet). Pleco was grabbing the guppy fry so last four are in a bucket with heater and penplax filter air line with a few milfoil tips from my spring hole. Too fast for picts of them.
Oh my .......yahooo!!!!!! hummm... am I happy to be a Granny!!!!! You bet !!!!! will have to look on the bigger computer tommorrow ...looks like you are having FUN!!!!!
Thankyou! It is called taking 62 pictures with digital... cropping in iPhoto and adjusting exposure and enhancing color if needed and trashing what didn't come out! I am NOT a good photographer.
Had to put old plastic plants and river rocks in because of fry. Can't wait til I can change those to live plants. The river rocks are from old tanks and the florescent plant light changes the brown color to red and brings out other highlights in them. Piled ones cover a DIY temp cave for the Pleco and provide spots for any new fry while I am at sons for the Holidays.
Can't wait for Buckmans reply. I am wondering how long before the MM Platty fry develop any sign of the tail color? Or if the blue platty was dominate and that is what they are? They were blue already with the vertical slashes (tells me which adult was daddy)!
Almost feel like a pimp or a bad mom! The Gold-dust Molly fry from this photo made it to the fish store in Gaylord. I got $8 store credit for them.
The rest are loving the 40 gallon long new home. Can't wait to get it planted heavier with live plants! What I had in that 10 gallon is looking so sparse in the larger tank. Didn't realize I had so many guppy and Mickey Mouse Platty fry. Male fry from first Guppy have fertilized one of the other adult females and working on acceptance from the third!
So you guys are staying permanent Grandparents it appears. But I get to have all the enjoyment of watching them go through "first loves"! haha
Buckman, Fish Joey and Calmwaters have kind of given me back pleasure and relaxation in my life. Thanks so much... my blood pressure is way down again and without having to go on medications!!
And where IS Buckman? I know he suffered some fish pond problems from weather this year and haven't heard since. I hope HE is ok.
