As for the Oscar eggs... they did not hatch .. guess its all a trial and error thing. But the Oscars are starting to dig again, so there is always next time. At least I have a plan this time. Learning as I go while reading up.

Here's a quick video.. Enjoy :)

My 240 Gal Tank - YouTube
Hey Jay,

Nice fish! Beautiful. Love your Dempsy.

I was thinking if you put your camera on a tripod and let it sit there for like 30 minutes, than creep up to to it...your fish wont be camera shy because they wont know you are there hahaha. I found that whenever I don't move while filming the fish come out more.

Are you planning on adding any more fake plants? Rocks? Wood?

Also, that is a beautiful Pleco. Monstrous.

Not at the moment, because im saving up for my background.. But no.. not adding anything right now.. the right side of the tank is a bit empty because I have a divider ready to put up for the oscars and dont want anything in the way.

Here are some photos of the lights for the people who haven't seen the video or would rather see photos.

Both 12000K and Actinic bulbs

Just the Actinic bulbs

Here is the 3D background im picking up in about 2 weeks too many bills this week. :/

Love the tank!
I think if you did a vid with the white lights it will look better than the blue, it will make the fish colors come out.
But it looks great, love the pleco!
Can wait for the rock background you have to post pics when you have installed it in!

(sorry to hear that you are sick)

540L/140G - 'Tidal Jungle' (Crabs) | 254L/67g - 'Backwater Pool' (Fish/Snails) | 96L/25G - ''Twisted Minds" (Fish/Snails)

I've never had any problems with 'Impulse Buying'. They're just animals that I forgot I had planned to get.

OMG!!!!

I dont know why I looked into the 5gal tank where i had the eggs in... but I swear I saw something move...
I called my girl over and I told her.. So we stared at the tank for a few min... then BOOM!!
1 little fry swimming!!!....what a freaking surprise... the airpump was unplugged and everything
I dont know how this little guy survived.. for being the only one that lived i named him Nemo :)
i'll do my best to keep him alive.

My oscars are also doing their little dance so im guessing more eggs in the AM? im 80% sure..

This is NEMO!!
