Found a small gem

Today I was driving past a pond store that I drive by all the time. Have been for years. I knew it was there but only knew it as a place that dealt with ponds. Today I looked over while sitting at the red light and saw a window banner that said tropical fish. I was like huh? So I stopped after work and oh my. They are mostly a pond store but they have tropical fish as well as salt water fish. They aren't huge and don't have a giant selection but what a small gem. There is one privately owned pet store here. Other than that it's Petsmart, Petco or Walmart. Well I am not going to buy fish at those places should the privately owned shop ever fold. But now there is this place. I talked to the owner for awhile and he knows his stuff. He has a saltwater tank at home and has a 13 year old clown fish in his personal tank. He's had it that long. He had a few tanks and some filters and light bulbs, gravel, and different things for fish keeping. Not much, and nothing like an all out pet store would but I was impressed because I had no idea they did anything as far as tropical fish keeping was concerned. His fish are all healthy and his Black Skirt Tetras are huge. They were doing some water changes while I was there and his wife was taking notes on their fish. I think she was noting the health and/or inventory. He said he has plans on getting more tanks for more tropical fish and I couldn't be more excited about this find. This leads me to this. I found what I believe is a great piece of dw for my 55g. Hope the pics turn out.

I love it! I found one that is is shaped similiar to that that but smaller for the smaller tank and a slightly darker. I think that is perfect for your tank. Your stand looks nice too! I bet you are excited to get started!

Nice score on both :)

Animal testing is a terrible idea; they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.
