I managed to get them to spawn the other day, eggs are still intact
so fingers crossed, here's a pic of the pair and the eggs.



As promised a couple of pics....

If you look carefully you can see the eggs stuck to the glass,
they laid them all over the tank btw,







And here's a pic of the parents going about their business.

No mate i'm not a photographer but I do like to share my pics

Yes I wanna know what kinda camera this is also. Those are fantastic shots, goregous fish, especially the third one down with the blue freckles ( i am new with fish, so names are beyond me), and u should def enter some of these in the contest. All great shots!!

Thanks, welcome to the world of fishkeeping.

The fish you ask about is an Eliotti Cichlid
and here are the camera and settings for the pics...

Camera Nikon D70s, lens Nikor 50mm 1.1 8 D

F8, SHUTTER SPEED 1/160, ISO 200,

I used a SB800 SPEED LIGHT on board the camera
set at TTL +1, and I used a diffuser.

Much! I'm gonna go try that... I've got a D50, so I should be able to get close. No light or diffuser though.
