Ye gads!!!:frustrated: How infuriating and nauseating.:redmad: We have that on the sidewalk unfortunately.:blueworry: I don't buy fish in stores where they are packed in plastic bags. No filtration for one day and the poo will certainly poison them.:blueworry:

Street fish?
Er..yes.

The mayor of the city hasn't done anything to stop such horrible practice.:dunno: On the side note, he actually provided the vendors those stalls for hanging plastic bags of fish. :redmad:
The fish are exposed to rough handling, high traffic of passerbies and vehicular noise. Everything else just stresses the fish. Unfortunately, when I used to buy there, I noticed that the fish I bought from such trades die faster than those I bought from my friend whose lfs maintain fish better than any lfs around here.

I would be very surprised if any of the fish actually survive for any length of time. Besides the dreadful conditions/ lack of filtration, they must be stressed beyond all belief from being kept in such an environment.

Assorted Disease for sale- 2 dollars a gallon. contains ick, IP, dropsy, and fin rot. Excellent at wiping out tanks! Guaranteed!
Our disease is bred through a harrowing process of stuffing our tanks full of fish and watching them die off as our excellent disease parasites and bacteria are cultured. The development is boosted by the use of no filters!

It's a disgusting thing to do. The rotton people who sell fish in this appalling state should be given a dose of their own medicine. See how they like it!
But seriously, something should be done. It enfuriates me when I enquire when I see a very small tank with unsuitable inhabitants, and they say "Well, it's just a fish, who cares??" :x :x
