Hi gang.

I'll be giving you the last glimpse of my old pics. Lots of changes have been done since these old pics have been created.

Take note that I locked my previous thread due to flip-flops or excessive changes.
In addition to that, it is not running straightforward and seems to have flop its purpose. Hence I locked the previous thread and created this thread for the final showdown.

Note: Discus and 5 young blue rams will not be shown here.

The final showdown begins.

Er..Nick, thanks for the kind comments but they are old pics.
I feel guilty for throwing the large plants(Cryptocoryne crispatula).
I had to throw them since they are becoming too large and their roots act like tree roots which could destroy the sealant of my tank.

Thanks to you both with dprUsh83.

Right now, my Nymphaea stellata is growing quite well and has shaded the middle portion of my tank.

But the Cryptocoryne becketii also grew well. Thanks to the shade given by the stellata.

are you going to make a new thread for your new rams and discus? thats what i want to see!

=)
After I am done with taking new pictures, I will.
I think that thread will be more dedicated to cichlids rather than including the characins.
Let's see, I'll get pics of blue rams, bolivian rams, angelfish, discus, apistogramma agassizis and borellis.
I will be getting the agassizis and borellis this year or by January hopefully.:)

Thanks, Ayshea, Becca and Bri.

That reminds me I have to feed my fish with bloodworms right now.:checkedout:

lovely tank, i loved scrolling looking at all the beautiful fish. i can't wait to see mroe pics of the Rams and stuff! lol
great tank, you've done a great job!
Thanks, Kathryn.

Lots of things have change. I'm getting a CO2 tank soon.:welldone: Should be great and good enough to make my plants grow at a faster rate.

I wonder which one I should get. Cardinal tetras or Von Rio flame tetras?:squint: One cardinal would cost me 3 flame tetras though. Maybe I'll get the flames. How desperate am I to get such beautiful tetras anyway.

thank you for sharing, Blue! I love the black angel, she's gorgeous! Do you still have her?
Yep. She's temporarily living in the pond which is home to several platies and rasboras. I'll move her back as soon as I get a new tank. My gold angels have been bullying the others which I have removed and moved over to the pond temporarily.:)

I'm not on the phase of getting a new tank yet. I'm planning to redecorate my tank again. I'll add more plants as soon as the CO2 tank arrives(this month). Apart from that, I'll add more light tubes as the light system wasn't enough. Hopefully, the addition of CO2 and more light tubes will allow faster plant growth and eventually make my tank look like a forest. I love how the Amazon biotope looks. Hence I'm also using almond leaves which is a good and cheaper alternative in the absence of peat(which is very expensive in our area). Blackwater extract is just as expensive as the peat.:blueworry:
