Thanks! haha :) She's so cute when she's all fat and happy!

I'm in a bit of a dilemma...I have no idea whether to rescape with a slate cave/stack or with a new piece of driftwood. Thoughts??

do your fish have any preference? I like both. . . driftwood is pretty fun stuff, though - hard for me to resist!

No, no preferences. :) I like the look of driftwood better...But I have none and can't find the right piece! haha.

Hows the rescaping going? Did you ever decided on rocks or more driftwood? Sure whatever you decide/or decided on will/does look great.

Decided to do driftwood...but the piece I found and ordered had a change of plans...Due to having to start up a betta sorority (ordered a new male betta, and the breeder shipped me 2 free females, so I set up a 10 gal hehe) that is our living room, I have decided to use that piece for the sorority, but I'm in the process of trying to get it to sink, which is not going well. Haha. So, I'm still on the search for yet another piece for the puffer tank, as well as a piece for my two 5.5 gallon betta tanks. :)

I regret to say that the remaining puffer passed away for an unknown reason 2 days ago. She was fine a few hours prior, then the next time I went in the room she was laying on the bottom of the tank-very yellow and not breathing. I had her for a year and a half.

The tank will now be home to the otos-increasing the number to 6 soon hopefully, the amano, and some Golden Honey Gourami's.

I am assuming it was just bad genetics. Since she was showing no signs of illness. having an extremely hard time finding anywhere that I can get under 6 ordered for under $50. So I'm just giving up on puffer s for now

so very sorry to read of your loss.

when you set up a new tank, hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.
