A drawing of my female swordtail.

This is a drawing I did of my female swordtail. She looked kind of big in the stomach so I thought she was pregnant. She lives with two neon tetras, a marigold platy, and a glass catfish. I just felt like drawing her so I did. I used pencil for the outline, and cray-pas for coloring her in. I know it's not the best quality but on paper it looks better. I also have one question, do you think the marigold platy could've fertilized her or she was already at the pet store?

Very nice :)

I think i heard somewhere that platys and swordtails will crossbreed.

Animal testing is a terrible idea; they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.

I have read from multiple sources that platies and swordtail will interbreed. Your swordtail might very well be pregnant with a half platy, half swordtail fry.
Good luck with your fish!

BTW that is some very fine art! Nicely to scale!
