Nothing harmful was done. It was selectively bred to achieve such strain. It is considered tyrosinase-positive albinism. There are a few more fish that are just as expensive, the gold barramundi (I believe tyrosinase-negative albinism) and platinum barramundi (tyrosinase-positive albinism), both owned by a person who is a member of the ACA bot. A few other examples of rare morphs are xanthic Polypterus mokelembembe and then xanthic Rita rita but they're all monster fish.lol
