Daughter's 14 Gallon tank in progress
Ok, here is a video of my daughter's tank on YouTube. Please excuse the quality of video. I took it real fast last night. Also, please excuse the toilet flushing in the background. LOL I can't win in this household. Earlier I had taken a video and my Pug started to bark like crazy at something outside and then something fell over and I said "shoot" and then I tried again at night and my daughter happens to use the restroom next to her room and flushed!
This tank is not completed and the baby Angelfish are only in there temporarily until they get big enough to go in with the slightly older Angelfish in the 56 gallon. I found some young Black Angels that are in my 56 gallon. I could not pass them up. I took to them at the fish store but resisted them because I did not feel my tank was ready enough. I waited another week and then when I went back in to get my daughter's guppies, they were still there. I nabbed them! I have decided that I am going to make my large tank primarily Angelfish and since I ended up with the 3 platies and 3 Black Phantom Tetras in there (which I did not plan on), I do not want to get any other fish other than the 4 Angels and maybe something for the bottom, not sure. I will have a total of 4 Angels in there when the small Silver Angels are a big enough to put in with the larger juviniles. These baby Angels are cuty patooties! They zip around and just look happy. One is bigger (a little older it looks) and the smallest one is the size of a dime. He is smaller in person than in the video.
This tank will be converted to a fully live planted tank, I think. The plants have had the wrong lighting up until two days ago. It now has the Colormax compact tubes. I love the hue it gives the tank. The fake driftwood will be changed to a a real piece which I just bought. Her tank has 3 guppies and two very young Silver Angelfish and that is all until I can transfer the Angels out and then I will get her more guppies. There are only 4 live plants currently. Filters may be changed as well for less water movement for the plants. I have a valve that I can add to the pump to tone down the bubble current.
