HOORAY FOR PERFECT PARAMETERS AND 15 NEW FISH!!!

Now THAT is how to cycle a tank! Great work!

I vote YES! Feed those lil' babies! They'll be so much happier with full tummies. That's my theory, anyway. . . I know people like to wait because of BB settling in and all that fun stuff - but you're seeded every which way from Sunday! And anyway, every time I've moved houses, I felt a million times more settled after the pizza dude delivered some dinner at the new place!

Let us know how they do! I know you will. . . awww! *luffs tinyfish*

Talking They ate they ate they ate!!!

THEY ATE THE FOOD!!
I was soo nervous that they won't take prepared food but they DID!!
I had to crush it up for them but they ate it, ALL OF IT!!
I asked BWG his way of crushing uo the food which gave me an idea...

I took the meat pounder (which I don't think I have ever used) and slid it across the food between paper towels and it crushed it every soo nicely.
Then I stuck it into the tank where they were and they scattered! LoL They will have to get use to that still but then they came back once they realized that it was food and ate it!!!!

lovely lovely! More happy news!

lol, a meat hammer!? You manly types are so cute. You could just. . . I dunno?. . . soak it for a moment and swish it around? *giggle* Whatever works, man. . . I've never had tinyfish, so maybe not?

I'm just so happy that was easy-peasy! These babies are on their way to ten gallons of heaven, for sure!

Is that the regular NLS or the small fish formula? The small fish formula is super tiny, so I'm just wondering if they could eat that as-is. (But then again, I've never had tinyfish! Haha)

If you don't have any I could mail you a bit to try it out before shelling the money out on a whole container, :)

Thanks Jen but that is the small fish formula. These lil guys are probably only .5" and the small pellets are still too big for them.

I have Boraras brigittae and B. naevus (both of which are a little bigger than the ! rasboras) and crushing the small fish NLS works best like John said. Usually what happens if I don't is the Boraras will spit the piece back out and then try chasing it as it falls. Slightly amusing to watch sure, but I'm not sure how much they if any they're getting that way. Slightly crushing just seems to work better. I make sure not to overfeed. I also practically pulverize flakes when I give those. The only thing I don't bother crushing that I feed is Repashy, since that's a gelatin and the fish have no problems. Even the Pangio cuneovirgata someone sent me seem to spit out uncrushed NLS.

I've never tried frozen anything, but I'd say go for it. I have to travel an hour just to go to someplace that carries frozen foods. Either that or spend $30 to have it shipped to me. I've never even seen daphnia in person so I don't know if it's too big. You'll have to be the one to let me know. :D
