The tanks ALL look lovely! I'm still swooning over your Badis, AND your Puffer, and now your bitty Cories, too! REALLY nice shots of the new male, he's gorgeous! Hope he does well and comes through QT happy and healthy.

. . . Snails! OMG! Sooooo many snails! You posted in BF, right? Have you put a thread up on TFK? I can't believe you have THREE MORE EGG SACKS! *shakes head* It's wonderful that you've found a local person to do a swap with, I'm jealous! Do you know what kinds of plants he has?

I'm thrilled to see your algae problems fading away, and sure that the added surface agitation will help - I really doubt that your plants will suffer for it in any way. You might even see stronger growth in a much healthier tank!

I'm SO happy for you, John!!!

P.S. PUPPIES! D'AAAAAAW!

Yeah Jes I put a post on BF. It was just like the one I put on here. I gave about 15-20 away today to a lady locally that was on BF. LoL and I still have bunches.. I will send out yours on Monday.

I just don't know about the surface agitation as I have heard it was bad for plant growth and never caused it before now. So will wait and see I guess.

I really hope this male Badis does better then the last 2. I plan on leaving him in there for a couple of weeks so I can keep an eye on him before adding him to the main tank.

That's an awesome update!!!! Algae gone, crypts returning, and a new badis!!! And we even got a shot of puppy! No, I can't take her, but she is cute.

Do you think I could get a handful of snails, too?

Then 6 weeks it is ...... I was going to ask y'all how long should he be in there anyways. He has me a lil concerned as all he does is hide. -_-
I am going to see if I can get him to eat again here in a few.

Good, glad to know! Lots of people do 4 weeks, but since I lost a ram the day before her 4 week QT ended to what looked like a parasitic infection I extended it to a 6 week minimum just to be safe. I can't imagine how distressed I would have been if anything like that had happened in my main tank. . .

In truth, I leave my fish in QT until they seem comfortable with their new world. Right now, your little Badis obviously isn't! Don't worry, he'll come around! I remember it took your first ones a little bit of time to settle in and lose their shyness. Poor thing has just gone through a lot of changes, give him time. As long as he's healthy, he'll settle in :)

Yes your right Jes it took awhile for mine others to fine settle in. It just makes me nervous seeing a fish hide. I don't like it as it always means something is just not right. I know its a matter of him being transferred to my tanks and getting use to it but I don't like seeing them like that. I did get him to eat today again which makes me oohh sooo happy!!

New Plants!!

So today I got in some Frogbit!! Big Thanks to Blackwaterguy for sending me these plants!!!! He sent me enough to cover 90% of the surface of my 29gallon! I am going to have to repay ya somehow Cory!!

I am excited as I have always wanted to try Frogbit but have never been able to get locally! Local plant selection just sucks. I guess I could have ordered it but just never did.
