AWW! I think it's a great shot of your lil He! Looks like it's snowing, and HE looks confused about it - or maybe He's giving us kisses *MWAH* I wish I could come over and SEE those lil' gems in person. Such pretty little babies. And HUZZAH that your cultures are doing so well! I'm still wading through all of that info you sent me (thanks!) and trying to figure out what I'm going to try - and when and how, lol! Weird with the snail. I guess he could have come over still in an egg or something? Weird...

Yeah it does look snow or maybe a still shoot of rain drops either a cool pic. I don't know if you can see it on your monitor but on the right side of that pic is a reflection of my daughters face. It shows up well on my phone. Makes it to me a even cooler pic!

Awww! YES! She's so sweet . . . you know, I SAW that last night, but I've become so 'trained' to look through and ignore reflections that I completely disregarded it! She looks entertained! :)

I don't or normally try not to post pics with reflections if I can help it. That I couldn't pass up. The other of the badis tank have reflection in them too but I didn't have time to close all the windows and door or the tv lol. That tank catches glare from everything! LoL

I don't blame you! She's adorable, and it's a great shot, all around. I actually do restoration work for old pictures, so I have a few tricks up my sleeve. . . I feel inspired to fiddle with this shot and see if I can bring her little face out a bit - would you care?

I always do my tank shots after the girls are in bed, the husband is parked in front of his TV, and I can turn all the lights off with no glare from the windows. It's the ONLY way I'd ever get a decent shot, since there are two huge windows on the opposite wall of the tank. If I ever shoot during the day, that's all you'd see, lol!

LoL my daughter is an night owl! She usually doesn't go to bed till 11-11:30. Though this is hopefully about change as I might be going to dayshift pretty soon. Anyways night shots are usually out of the question as the lights go off at or some where around 8ish lol I don't even remember as I am never home when the lights go out. I usually have to shut all the blinds and turn off the TV/lights in the house to get the best shots I can. Though even my best shots look crappy compared to most ppls. I really need to get a decent camera and stop using my phone.

Haha! She's a night owl cuz' she needs to let daddy sleep in - just a lil' bit - in the mornings! DAYSHIFT!!! Oh, wow!!! That'll be an adjustment - but wonderful! I hope that works out for you!

To be honest, I think that your phone - people's phones in general - take pretty darn good pics and videos, considering that the settings can't be adjusted at all and they're freakin' PHONES! I'm impressed, to be honest! The videos I see from phones are waaaaaay better than the ones my little flip share can do!

But yeah - EVERYONE needs a camera! Mine died. I cried. It was old, and considering how much technology has changed over the last 7 years or so - crappy for it's type, but I've taken tens of thousands of pictures with that thing (no exaggeration!), and had it since before my babies were born, so I was upset. I stole my husbands for now (I haven't been without a camera within arms reach since I was 14 or so - can't do it!) He's grumpy about it, but understands. I'm trying to save up $500ish to get a newer model of my Nikon - which has a pretty decent video feature on it. VERY excited. . . gonna take a while, tho!

Anyway. . .this is the best I could do with the resolution I had to work with. It's an adorable picture - and TWO adorable little subjects! Thanks for letting me play with it - wish I could have done a bit more :)

The original for comparison:

Not the greatest edit, but it's a little bit clearer!

She's so CUTE!

Ohh that's a LOT clearer!!! Most of the glare is gone compared the original!
Thanks Jes!

Yes dayshift will be a huge change for me. I haven't worked a dayshift job in over 10 years!
I am trying my damnedest to get on that shift as I don't WANT the other shift which is 6pm-6:30am. Dayshift would be 6am-6:30pm. 12nr shifts obviously but one week you work a total of 36hrs and the next 48hr. Its a 2-2-3 work schedule.

Lol! I've missed a bunch! But I'm glad the badis are eating now! And that the cultures are working for you. It must really be crappy when the food is as sensitive as what you're trying to feed it to!

Also LOVE your puffer pic!! And Jes did a great job of making it into art! I hope you get the day shift, too. It may be 12 hours, but I'd take 12 hours during the day over 12 hours at night any time.
