Awwww, poor you! I know how tough it can be to get little ones to bed when they've decided not to. Once they get OVER tired, it's just an all-out battle. Hope she settled down for you. Have you ever heard of the book narrated by Samuel L Jackson called 'Go the *eff* to sleep?' It's great, I'm not going to post a link, cuz' there are younger kiddos on the forum and this is NOT a kids book - but if you haven't heard it - Google it! It's just so true. . . sometimes.

Anyway, you'll have to get a pic of the wee Puffy one with an empty belly for comparison! I thought his chub was adorable, lol! It's SO hard not to overfeed the bitty fish, isn't it? It took me a while to figure out how to feed my dwarf Tetra properly, and STILL they sometimes end up with a bit too much. A bit too much on such small fish turns into a whopping big belly, though - scary!

Even if he's super tubby, I think he's the cutest thing ever! *pokes fishy tum* :D

Ugh!!!!
I have a "problem"!!! I moved my Scarlet Badis tank to my Kitchen Counter top so I could get to it better and clean it properly. Well I cleaned it out really well and rearranged it to what I think it is looking goood.
Well my problem is I don't really wanna put the Apple snails back in that tank.
As 1# They like rearrange the tank! LoL
2# They eat my other snails O.O
So That leaves me with having to setup another tank.
I have a 10 gallon tank that's empty but don't have a heater or filter for it. Well actually I do have a filter but no heater. Also don't have anything but sand a piece of driftwood to put in there for them. Ahhhh
what to do!!!

Haha problem solved! I found a 50w heater for the tank. LoL if it works (which it seems to be) I am going to put it in the Scarlet Badis tank and put the one in there in the Apple snail tank.

Glad your problem is solved! I was going to say that Apples don't need tropical temps, they do really well at room temperature, and as long as their water is properly taken care of - you can rock a snail tank without a filter, too! I've never heard of Apples eating other snails, to O.o Learn something new every day! Glad you've gotten it all worked out. . . now. . . it sounds to ME as if new pictures of the Badis tank are due! Can't wait to see how it's looking now that you've given it a deep cleaning!

Okay soo here are a couple of pics of the tank the way it sits now.

That's not the best pic at all!! I will see if I can get a better pic tomorrow as the lights are off and I have a towel covering the front and top of the tank. Lights out. LoL
The reason I have a towel wrapped around the front and part of the top is we have a light that usually stays on in the kitchen above the sink and the tank is pretty much right there by the sink soo i didnt want the light to shine into the tank all night. Yes there are three sponges in there in the right back corner. The one I have had all along is falling apart soo I got my other two in the tank along with the old one. I actually moved it too a different spot soo its not noticable. In a couple of weeks I plan on throwing away my old sponge and putting the one i have floating in its place.
Here is the left side of the tank.

The driftwood i have in the tank now is the same piece I had before but I cut it into three pieces. Yes I cut it. LoL
I got tired of it being sooo big and I counldn't really setup the tank in a way I wanted too and now you see more then this massive honking piece of wood in the tank. To me it looks more natural this way.

The next two pics show the right side of the tank along with some of the Scarlet Badis swimming around.

My MTS are all over the places! They came out when i was cleaning the tank and the sand. I actually have more in there then i thought. I never saw them before. I wonder if thats cause of the Apple snails?? The Spongesbob characters are still there too as you can see. I think I am doomed to have those characters for ever! They don't actually bother me that bad but part of me whats to take them out and get rid of them. OH OH I know I can put them in the snails tank. Yeah I think i will do that tomorrow along with swapping the heaters.
thekoimaiden and Chesh like this.

Oh, it's SO hard when kids are around sometimes, neh? I made it VERY clear to my kiddo's that Becoming is MY tank. They have little whatever... colorful ornaments in theirs, but MOMMA'S tank is kitch-free! I hope she's okay with moving them to the snail tank, can't break the little one's heart!

GAH! CUT! DRIFTWOOD! GAAAAAH! It was such a pretty piece, but I agree with you - it looks better in that tank broken down a bit. Everything looks good, and those lil' Badis are just so darn adorable! Nice re-scape!

I always wonder exactly how many MTS I have in my tank(s)... I see them around, but I KNOW there are more hiding underground. The world may never know! Did you ever establish if the DP eat the MTS?

I think I will tell her that "Gary" needs Spongebob in there with him. LoL which means Spongebob needs Sandy and Patrick also. Maybe that will work..

No Jes I haven't yet cause till tonight I never saw the MTS. Not sure if they were scared to come out or what but they just always stayed hidden. I know I have heard Byron talking about when He got a DP on mistake they it wiped out his stock of MTS down to almost nothing. So they should be able to eat them with a little work.

haha, hope it works with Gary and the SpongeBob crew, but I kind of like 'em in your tank! Only because. . . it's SWEET for your lil' baby girl... gives me the warm fuzzies when I see 'em!

Do you think you're able to take video clear enough to show them eating snails? I'd LOVE to see it, but they're SO small. I know *I* wouldn't be able to capture it with my crappy cam (if I had Puffers, lol).
