So I just tried to feed them....... ummmmm..... hmmmmm

The didn't really want anything to do with the Aquadine tablets as the the guy at the store *said* they would nipple at them. O.o

I stuck some frozen Daphnia in there and that seemed to bring them out of the wood works so to speak. Though I didn't see them pick at it. Maybe a nipple here or there.

I stuck a live blackworm in there and *that* caught the attention of the dominant male who chased off what I believe is a female to get to it. I saw him take a bite or two if it.

So the challenge begins!!! What and how to get them to eat????

Anyone have any tricks to getting them to expect prepared foods???

I called around today to see if I could find some NLS Small fish Formula. Petsmart didn't have it. So I called two different Petcos. One that's in my town the other that's 30 miles away. The local ones response and I quote: Umm what?? (So I told him again what it was.) Ummm I don't think we have that. Sorry.
The other response was "We don't have that formula yet sorry. "
At this point I am getting a lil upset as I know I have seen it.
So the family and I go out to eat. Then afterwards I decide I would go to my local Petco just to see. Yeah their main line of fish food there is yeah you guessed it NLS and they had the Small fish formula. See this why I HATE shopping/dealing with Petco as they are

I don't have any tricks to get them to take pellet food. But in those pictures they look like they were finding a lot of food just around the tank.

And they look soo beautiful!!! I imagine they will look just stunning when you can get them all settled in!

I DO hope they're eating something. . . you said they'd been at the shop for a while before you got them, have you called there and asked what they've been feeding them? Is it possible they're just in that weird settling-in period? Maybe they'll eat once they get used to the new tank. . . *crosses fingers* All these little tiny fish that are difficult to feed, lol!

Hey Jes before I bought them I asked the store what they were eating. Bloodworms and Brine shrimp and occasionally the Aquadine and blackworms.

The 10 gallon looks good! I like it and it looks like there are a lot more hiding places for the Dario to feel more comfortable. Glad to see the Sponge Bob characters got a position of honor. :)
